Welcome to YangaRide. By accessing or using the YangaRide application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your use of the services provided by YangaRide ("Service"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Definitions
"User" refers to anyone who accesses or uses the YangaRide App, including passengers and drivers.
"Driver" refers to the independent contractor who offers transportation services via the YangaRide App.
"Passenger" refers to the user who books a ride using the YangaRide App.
"Service" refers to the ride-hailing services provided by YangaRide, including all features, functions, and content offered through the App.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation: Users must create an account to access the Service. Accurate and complete information is required during registration.
User Responsibilities: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and for all activities that occur under their account.
Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. YangaRide reserves the right to deny access to any User at its discretion.
4. Services Provided
YangaRide provides a platform connecting passengers with drivers for the purpose of booking rides. Drivers are independent contractors and not employees of YangaRide.
YangaRide does not guarantee the availability of any particular driver or the quality of any ride.
5. Pricing and Payments
Fare Calculation: Fares are calculated based on factors such as distance, time, traffic, and demand. YangaRide reserves the right to change fare rates at any time.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via the payment methods available in the App, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, etc. Users agree to pay all fees associated with the Service.
Cancellation Fees: If a ride is canceled after a driver has accepted it, a cancellation fee may apply.
6. User Conduct
Prohibited Activities: Users agree not to engage in any illegal activity, harass other users, or misuse the Service. Drivers are expected to follow all applicable traffic laws and maintain a safe environment for passengers.
Ratings and Feedback: Passengers and drivers can rate each other after each ride. YangaRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts based on ratings or feedback.
7. Limitation of Liability
YangaRide is not responsible for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other harm resulting from the use of the Service. Users acknowledge that transportation services are provided by independent drivers and not by YangaRide.
YangaRide makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including its accuracy, reliability, or availability.
8. Privacy Policy
YangaRide values your privacy. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Termination
By YangaRide: YangaRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate any User’s account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms.
By User: Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting customer support.
Termination of an account may result in the loss of access to the Service and any associated data.
10. Dispute Resolution
Arbitration: Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, conducted in Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
11. Changes to the Terms
YangaRide may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the App and will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
